Mohammedan Sporting to lodge complaint against
 Poor Refereeing in Second Division

Mohammedan Sporting who failed to make it to the i-League this season narrowly missing out to United Sikkim FC after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Baichung Bhutia's United Sikkim FC. Mohammedan Sporting felt that they were hard done by the poor refereeing on display in that match when their opponents were wrongly awarded a penalty in the first half which United Sikkim FC converted. Though Mohammedan Sporting later equalized but that was not enough at the end of the day as it saw the North-Eastern team go through along with already qualified ONGC. Mohammedan players and officials protested on the ground when the penalty was awarded and the match was paused for few minutes. The conditions were that much worse that police officials had to intervene to resume the play. Mohammedan Sporting officials further claimed that they were denied the opportunity to take the lead as they were not given two clear penalties. Mohammedan Sporting will take the match footage to the All India Football Federation(AIFF) and might also knock the doors of AFC if required.

Meanwhile, match officials are lodging a complaint on Mohammedan Sporting itself after Mohammedan Sporting officials and players were accused of abusing and threatening the on-field officials both during and after the game.
