Former Dutch International Wim Koevermans is likely to become the next Head Coach of Indian National Football team as per the reports. Kim Koevermans is said to have been shortlisted by Technical Director Rob Baan who also hails from Holland. The 59 year old Ex-Dutch International, who was a part of the Dutch squad that triumphed in the Euro Championship 1988, is expected to be given a 2 years contract which could be extended further based on the performance of the National Team under him. The official announcement is expected to be made next month after the an executive committee meeting.

Koevermans was the youth coach for the Netherlands between 2002 to 2008. He was also the U-21 coach of Ireland in 2010. He was also the High Performance Director of Ireland.

He has coached few sides at club level which includes FC Groningen, RBC Roosendaal, NEC Nijmegen, MVV Maastricht.

Meanwhile, after Raymond Libregts rejected the offer of becoming the coach of India U-22 side, Arthur Pappas will be handed the role.
