Federation Cup 2012 Final: East Bengal take on Dempo SC in the final

East Bengal will have to be at their best when they take on an inspired Dempo SC for the Federation Cup 2012 title. East Bengal had to follow the more difficult path of the two on their road to the finals but that does not take any credit away from them and they will be eager to make a good start to the seasons. The focus for both the teams have been more sharpened towards the Federation Cup glory itself as both teams have booked the tickets for AFC Cup with Dempo are already in the play-offs for a spot in AFC Champions League. East Bengal coach Trevor will have his task cut out as his defense line wont have the services of Uga Okpara and Gurwinder Singh because of suspension. While East Bengal coach Trevor James Morgan has made it clear that their form in the group stage is no more a matter of concern, after a good show in the semi-final against Churchill Brothers, and they will approach the game with a fresh frame of mind and strategy. Armando Colaco have also stated that none of the team can be claimed as favorites before the summit clash takes place and if they win the crown, they will dedicate the same to late Cristiano Junior(who collapsed on the field and later was declaerd dead).

The match will kick-off at the Kanchanjungha Stadium, Siliguri from 6:30 PM and will be telecasted live on DD Sports.
