U-19 i-League: AIFF Academy thrashes Kenkre FC

AIFF Academy of Navi Mumbai thrashed Kenkre FC with a 5-2 scoreline to get their third victory in the U-19 i-League in as many games.

Milan Basumatary scored the first goal for AIFF Regional Academy of Navi Mumbai when he was fed by Rakesh Oran from the right in the 10th minute. In the 37th minute, Bidyananda Singh doubled the lead as he converted a penalty awarded to the Academy boys after Basumatary was brought down by Joe Paul Bence, the Kenkre FC custodian. Joe was given the marching orders for the challenge. Moinuddin Khan tripled the lead in the 43rd minute to seal the victory.

Kenkre FC were hesitant to throw away the towel, as Atif Shaikh reduced the margin from a volley in the 54th minute.An Arif Sutaria goal for Kenkre FC sandwiched between goals from AIFF Academy, Navi Mumbai boys Rakesh Oram(65th) and Suman Sarkar(88th) could not make much of a difference to the result as AIFF Academy boys continued their hot streak.
