1st Semi Final

Churchill Brothers 2-1 Mohun Bagan
CB: Balwant Singh(4th), Anthony Wolfe(P 15th)
MB: Odafa Okolie(32nd)

Churchill Brothers held off Mohun Bagan's challenge in the 1st semi-final clash as Balwant Singh starred the show scoring one while setting up the other. Abdelhamid Shabana controlled the midfield as Churchill Brothers outclassed Mohun Bagan in the middle of the park. Katsumi Yusa did not have the best of the days as he was caught off-guard mostly as he either lost possession or was out-muscled by the Churchill Brothers midfield. The first goal came in as early as the 4th minute of the game with Balwant Singh finding the back of the net with a glancing header, thus scoring his 3rd goal of the tournament. Despite the early goal Churchill Brothers looked more likely to score the second and they did accordingly when Anthony Wolf converted a spot kick after Balwant Singh was fouled inside the box by Aibor Khongjee, with the latter not able to cope up with the pace of the in-form Churchill Brothers striker. Mohun Bagan pulled one back in the first half itself from captain Odafa Okolie in the 32nd minute after the Nigerian attacker provided a neat finish past Lalit Thapa. The scoreline remained the same till the final whistle as Churchill Brothers progressed to the finals after a dominant performance.
