Joan Capdevila is set to join North East FC |
Spanish International defender Joan Capdevila is heavily linked to join Indian Super League(ISL) side, North East FC which is owned by Bollywood celebrity John Abraham and Managing Director of Shillong Lajong FC, Larsing Sawyan.
Capdevila was an integral member of the Spanish side which won the Euro Cup 2008 and the FIFA World Cup 2010. He was the only player not being a part of either Real Madrid or Barcelona to represent La Roja in the finals of the FIFA World Cup 2010. The 36 year old left back has played more than 300 La-Liga matches, scoring an impressive 28 goals in the process, featuring for Villareal CF(140), Deportivo de La Coruna(130), RCD Espanyol(32) and Atletico Madrid(31). The spaniard also represented Portuguese outfit SL Benfica, with whom he won the domestic League Cup.
