Barring a consolation goal from CK Vineeth in the dying moments of the game, Bengaluru FC could hardly take any positives from the game against the Indonesian high flyers Persipura Jayapura in the Group E encounter played at the Mandala Stadium on Tuesday. Persipura Jayapura scored through Ian Kabes (4th minute) and Robertino Pugliara (23rd and 51st minutes). Meanwhile in Salt Lake stadium, East Bengal despite creating some good opportunities in the opening few minutes went to the backfoot as Belencoso headed the ball in the 30th minute for Kitchee SC to give the lead to the away side. The visitors could have easily doubled or tripled their lead had they taken the chances that came their way. Red and Gold's in-form striker Ranti Martins made sure that the home side got reward for their patience as he rounded off the goalkeeper to score the equalizer on the 74th minute mark. Both teams missed some sitters and thus could not walk away with all three points.
