Team India goes through to the next round of 2018 World Cup Qualifiers Preliminary Joint Qualification after they held Nepal to a goalless draw in the away leg thus winning 2-0 in aggregate thanks to the 2-0 victory at home in Guwahati. The game was mostly dominated by Nepal who could not get past the rock-solid Indian defense having the reliable support of skipper Subrata Paul at the back.
