Sunil Chhetri scored the only goal of the tie helping Bengaluru FC overcome their winless away record against East Bengal. Rino Anto was the architect of the winner scored by Sunil Chhetri, when the former made a darting run on the right flank before putting in a great delivery for Chhetri to convert.

Mohun Bagan continued their unbeaten run with a sweet 2-0 victory on the road against DSK Shivajians FC at the Balewadi Sports Complex, Pune. Haiti International Sony Norde was the star of the pack with a brace to his name. Mohun Bagan thus have 10 points in their tally till now while Bengaluru FC have 12 points having played a game more.

Salgaocar FC were denied their first win by a spirited Aizawl FC in the Hero i-League 2015-16 clash played at Tilak Maidan, Goa. The Goan side, under their new manager Santosh Kashyap could not hold on to their slender lead given by Scottish forward Darryl Duffy as Aizawl scored in the injury time. Alfred Jaryan was fouled inside the box leading to a spot kick, which was expertly converted by Malsawmtluanga.

Shillong Lajong FC registed all three points from a tricky tie in the Hero i-League encounter against Sporting Clube de Goa on Sunday played at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Goa. Brazilian Uilliams scored the lone goal of the match in the 59th minute. Uilliams smashed the ball into the net after Fabio's effort was saved by Arindam Bhattacharya. Shillong Lajong, with the victory moved to 5th position in the league table with 7 points while Sporting are a place down to 6th with 4 points in as many games.
