Indian team finished their AFC U23 Championship Qualifiers campaign on a high defeating a strong Turkmenistan side 3-1 in Doha at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium on Sunday, 23rd July 2017. Goals from Manvir Singh, Alen Deroy and Jerry Lalrinzuala gave the young Indian team a fine victory having lost their first two matches, 0-2 against Syria and 0-1 against hosts Qatar.
